Let me take you back to San Francisco 1895.

It's the morning of Saturday the 13th of April and we're at the Emmanuel Baptist Church on Bartlett Street.

Inside, three women are busy preparing the church for tomorrow's Easter Sunday service.

They are Mrs. Noot, Mrs Lord and Miss Stevens. Each woman is holding bunches of fresh

flowers which are being used to decorate the space. From the outside, it's a very happy scene,
