Thanks so much for joining me today.

Today I thought I would talk to you about what it means to have our minds renewed

and what it is that gets in the way of that.

And we know that to renew means to restore, to refresh, to rebuild.

And that's what we need because sin has really wreaked havoc on our minds.

The unregenerate have minds that are darkened or blinded.

But for those in Christ, God is renewing our minds.

And one of the ways He does this is through His Word.

Of course, as we read the Word, our minds are washed, our minds are renewed.

And as we worship Him, as we walk with Him, this is just a process that always spirit renews our minds.

But we still have three enemies when it comes to our minds being renewed, the world, the flesh and the devil.

First verse, of course, is the one we always go to regarding the world, and that's Romans 12-12.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

So giving way to the world interrupts this process of renewal, where to resist the world,

we're not to cooperate in any way to the world's pressure to conform.

So when it comes to the world's ways, we are non-conformist.

And when we're transformed by this renewing, notice in this verse that we are proving God's will,

which is good, acceptable and perfect.

That's exactly what we want, isn't it?
