Six heresies about the Blessed Virgin Mary.

When we think about heresies, we tend to think about denials of the Trinity, denials that Jesus

is fully God or that our Lord is fully man denial of the resurrection.

But in Catholic history and in Catholic dogmatics, there are six heresies against the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Actually, there's kind of a seventh one

that we're going to tack on to the end here.

I've listed them right here on the screen. We've got Ebionism, Helvetianism, Valentinism, Chloridianism, Nestorianism, and ICONo-classum. Those are a lot of syllables right there. I'm going to break them down for you in an easy, quick way.

I want you to ask yourself, do you believe any of these heresies? And if you do, root them out.

We're going to look at

scripture we're going to look at tradition the councils of the church and we're going to

find out the truth about who the Blessed Virgin Mary is in history, scripture, tradition, and in particular in relationship

to her divine son, Jesus Christ.

So let's get started before we do.
