What does the future hold? That is what we are talking about today here on the Council of Trent.

Mondays and Wednesdays we talk apologetics and theology. But Friday, we talk about whatever I feel I

talking about. And I found a poll here from 1998, USA Today and Gallup did 1,000 adults. It was taken

September 30th through October 1st, 1998, all the way back.

I was 13 years old, going to junior high. What was, I mean, that was the time, mid-90s,

they were a great time. And you had great films, you know, was that was, I want to say 98 was

Armageddon, probably. I remember what, Savage Garden,

probably on the radio. Boy bands hadn't quite picked up yet, but they were on there,

probably M&M. I could be getting the dates wrong, but then again, that was almost 30 years ago,

right? But I do remember it well. It was a fun time to be sure, and it was an optimistic time,

I think. But there's some answers to this poll asking people what Americans in a 1998 poll

expected to happen by the year 2025. So yeah, it's an interesting year to pick. I don't know why

they didn't pick 2028 full 30 years.

So 2025 has a good ring to it. I'm going to go through here and we'll see what did people get right and what did they get wrong.

So I'm going to go through based on a majority of what people thought would happen.

So number one, the emergence, number one, it's 75% saying that this will happen.
