About 10 years ago, you decided that you were going to build a brand and then it was going

to be called smarter every day and it was going to have your face on it.

Was that difficult or was it easy back then?

I didn't understand the importance of the brand.

I just did not understand it.

I knew I needed to call my thing a thing and I knew it needed to have certain properties.

My dad made me take a marketing class in college and I didn't understand at the time but now

I do why he would have me do that.

That brand smarter every day is probably the most valuable thing I have, so to speak.

It's a brand that can outlive me but I didn't understand what I was doing at the time.

I just didn't get it.

What were your thoughts when you made the Tim and it Bible hour?

I thought it would be a little thing that I did for people at church and maybe a few

people outside of that.

I did an inside baseball old-timey Christian radio riff joke that slays with about one

tenth of one percent of the population and then people started watching it and I was

already married to the brand and it kind of works but it was a process I didn't think

through carefully enough.

Yeah, so building a brand is hard especially when we built No-Dem questions, we talked

for a long, long time about what the name should be and what we were going for and all

that stuff.

Months on the front end before we recorded or did anything.
