Summary
We all want to be thought well of. That’s just how we are built as humans. Approval equals survival on a primal level. But if we become so concerned about what others think that we are reluctant to ask for what we want for fear of judgment or rejection, it’s time to reevaluate how much weight we put in the opinions of others. In this episode of Spiritually Hungry, Monica and Michael discuss when and why to stop caring about what others think so we can place more value in our own opinions of ourselves.
“If you haven’t upset anybody, you haven’t done anything.” – Michael Berg

The way I read it is what other people think of me is in my business. Oh, that's why. Oh, sure. That was what was confusing to you. That was a great quote. I just don't know what we ever here. I've used it in my own head many times. Say it again? |
| 1:11.6 | What other people think of you is none of your business. I love it. Is it okay if I start using it? As long as you give me credit. No, it's not my quote, but yes. Who is it? A few people have said it in different ways. Marcus Aurelius said something along those lines 2,000 years ago. |
| 1:16.6 | Yes. |
| 1:17.6 | His quote, which I think is even more powerful, is we all love ourselves more than other |

| 1:23.6 | That is one of my favorite quotes here. |
| 1:26.6 | Oh, he had it on his little paper. It's really, really. It's not such a small paper. But what, what, what, there's a lot of words on it. He, he, um, you don't think of all of my secrets. You're embarrassed me, you slandered me and now you're... Oh, you're making me look bad. |
| 1:45.5 | He actually begins if I'm not, you know, it's against translators. So you don't know how the translations are. But I love actually the first part. It never ceases to amaze me. Yeah. Right? Because it's really, it's so true, right? I mean, this is, you know, science tells By the way, it never ceases to amaze any of us when we |
| 2:01.5 | catch ourselves, if we catch ourselves in that state. Like, that's why it's so powerful. And I |
