Kyle, so good to see you today.

Good Kyle, hey Jen.

Hey, hey, hey, well here we are and we're going to jump right into it today because we have

a lot of ground to cover particularly on this episode because we are moving all the

way from the reunion of Jacob and Esau, which we covered in our last episode with Dr.

Ray Orland, which was just a treat to have him on.

And we're going to get all the way to the story, the introduction really of Joseph, one

of Jacob's beloved sons, maybe his most beloved son.

And to do that, we've got to cover some ground.

And so if you remember, we've been exploring Genesis 12 through 50 this season on Knowing

Faith.

And today, we find ourselves just on the other side of what was really the climax of Jacob

and Esau's story, which is their reunion.

And the last time that we spoke about this, we covered a brother's hug and that maybe

the way that Jacob and Esau reunite is not what you would imagine after their story.

But coming after that is a very interesting story about some of the ongoing family drama

that's happening in Jacob's house.

And so let's just dive in here because in Genesis 34, we find out or introduce to Dina,

who is the daughter of Leo, one of Jacob's wives.

And Dina is not treated with respect or dignity in this story.
