So first of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Teresa Richard and I am board certified in swallowing disorders so I am pretty

deeply entrenched in the medical SLP world I'll also give you my disclosures

And yeah, so I guess I want to start out with talking about my story because you know I think life has a funny way of taking you different places and you know going in different directions and I just

always thought I was gonna didn't always think I changed my major a few times in college but

once I found speech pathology I thought for sure I'd work with kids and I thought I'd work in the schools and I even

did a master's thesis transcribing doing language transcriptions and so I just thought that was the way I was going to go and I got into my clinical

fellowship and I did not like the schools in fact I hated it. It may have something to do with the state I was living in at the time,

had no caseload cap, so I had about 100 kids on my caseload as a CF.

So as you could tell, I was probably losing my mind.
