basketball podcast. My name is Ben. Welcome back and it's that time. Yes, it's been a few months, but he's back.

Dave Dufor is here. The one and only host of, I want to say host of Nirdershi wrote on the athletic

podcast network but Dave I believe is still on about 13 podcasts a week so he's

just more like omnipresent and we have a tradition Dave I think going back to the 2019

playoffs I think that's when it started of just previewing any kind of

seasonal thing we can we preview the regular season if you missed our

regular season preview to start the season back in November that was a blast

and and we preview post seasons quite a bit and now it's time for the

2022 playoffs and I'm excited to talk to you Dave because we haven't talked about

basketball in what feels like forever despite talking regularly throughout the season and this

post-season might be one of the most wide open tournaments I guess depending on

how you feel about the favorites.

Ever in decades, is it 1975, like, what's going to happen?

How are you feeling?

I'm pretty excited, man.

This has been a really fun season. Beyond the parity and the

young teams that have popped up and been fun to watch like the calves and the grizzlies,

which you know if you go back and listen to our season preview, we were kind of, we were high on those teams anyway.

The calves were tough.

The calves were a tough one to see.

We liked Garland a lot though, I remember that. I know, but I didn't know it was going to be this whole whole. Oh, who knew? But why isn't he the most improved player of the year? I've never been more confused. I mean, it's a made-up award anyway, but no one at the beginning of the season thought this was they didn't look at Garland. They were like, he's a really good starter from last year. Oh, he jumped to an all-star.
