2:42.0 | So dreams a limited travel.com we appreciate your support. All right I want to get started first by talking about the fourth quarter earnings. |
2:52.0 | Now just for clarification Disney's fiscal year ends on September 30th. So their first quarter begins October 1st. So this is for the period of July 1st through September 30th. |
3:08.0 | And some of the key points that I want to talk about they the board of directors decided to for go the semi annual dividend payments to its shareholders in January 2021 which I think makes perfect sense since the company lost and at least parks and experience a lot of experiences alone lost 2.4 billion with the B in the fourth quarter. |
3:37.0 | Just the fourth quarter that's not their year end loss that's their fourth quarter 2.4 billion. |
3:44.0 | They talked about how Walt Disney World was operating at 25% capacity but Bob Chapich did confirm what we were suspecting was the case that they had up to capacity to 35% we knew that because you know park passes for December that were really hard to get that were yielding. |
4:06.0 | That were yellow or red all of a sudden became green and we figured okay the only way you're doing that is if you're adding capacity and he did confirm that they had up capacity to 35% more on that I just want to say I think that is a remarkably responsible decision from I don't know what the hell that was something just fell. |
4:33.0 | It's going to be one of those shows folks. I thought that was a remarkably responsible decision from a company that had just lost 2.4 billion dollars that they only increase capacity during their busiest historically busiest time of the year by 10% when the state of Florida has basically said to them you can go back to operating 100% and we're fine with it. |
4:58.0 | So I think I just wanted to point that out that I think a 10% increase after what three months of reopening and learning what the best practices are I thought that was an incredibly responsible decision. |
5:16.0 | Chapic did mention that the cruising guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control at the end of October present higher hurdles than they were anticipating which is delaying the resumption of cruising beyond what was originally hoped for. |
5:33.0 | Now I don't have an inside track on that all I can say is that when they released the cruise discounts they release weekly. |
