Hi everybody, it's Joe Lampel, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe Gardner

Show.

Well, you know sometimes we just can't see the forest for the trees, you've heard that

expression before.

And today is one of those days on the topic of mulch and this podcast episode, Aaron Best,

our Director of Online Media was going through the lineup with me on what's coming up, and

kind of reviewing what we had done over the past 100 plus episodes, and as we were mapping

out some topics for the future, she reminded me that we did not have a podcast on mulch.

And that blew my mind.

In fact, I didn't even believe her.

I went back through all the episodes, and she's right.

Even though we've got several podcasts on compost, my other favorite topic, mulch is

the other one I love to talk about so much.

In fact, I often say mulch is to soil above ground, what compost is for plants below ground.

And I can't imagine any garden under my watch without both.

So you can imagine how surprised I was to realize that I had never done an episode on mulch

and the reason for that I believe is because I talk about it so much to our listeners,

our online audience and on television every day I talk about it.
