Summary

One of the biggest misconceptions that people have toward us and our podcast is that we perfectly follow all of our own advice and we are just superstars with time management, organization, and productivity. The thing is, that couldn’t be further from the truth. So we wanted to help break down our struggles with Time Management and the simple steps that we took to help build them as habits. We get real personal and share all of our flaws, but with the intention to help you know that making mistakes does not make you a failure.  In this episode we share:  How we work to make creating a power list a daily habit.  The importance of setting the perfect amount of time to get a task finished. How we stick to creating schedules. The causes of not sticking to what we say we will do.  How to keep from feeling overwhelmed. SUBMIT YOUR TIME SUCKING HURDLE! We want to know what is sucking up all of your time either as a teacher or just a person. Head over to our website and submit your TSH so that you can have a chance to be featured on the podcast! Well, hello there, top teachers. We are your hosts, Michelle Emerson and Bridget Spackman, and we are here to make

0:06.7

your life easier by helping you master your time, organization, and productivity as a teacher.

0:12.1

Bridget, really fast. Before we jump into this episode, I'm just going to let the audience acknowledge.

0:17.0

I will probably sound kind of nasly congested for the next month.

0:21.9

I apologize in advance.

0:26.3

But second, can I share a personal time-sucking hurdle?

0:27.0

Absolutely.

0:28.3

These are always fun.

0:29.1

Okay.

0:36.0

I have never been the person that gets sucked into app-based games on your phone. Like the candy crush. I did do Farmville back, but I was just on

0:41.4

Facebook. It was so good. Bridget, I would set alarms at like four o'clock in the morning to harvest my

0:47.1

strawberry so they wouldn't wilt. Well, I worked at an animal clinic and so I used to play it like on the

0:52.1

computers at the animal clinic. I was such a bad employee.

0:55.5

No, I totally get it. But my current time-sucking hurdle is this app called Wadoku. So if you imagine a Sudoku board where it has the nine squares, but then there's nine of those. and you're trying to fill the squares. It's like

1:12.8

that mixed with Tetris. So you have these like different shape puzzle block pieces that you're

1:17.9

trying to fit in. And every time you complete either a row, a column, or one of like the nine square

1:23.4

grids, it disappears. And so you're just trying to like get points or you're trying to collect

1:28.1

gems. The reason I downloaded it is because when I wasn't feeling well, there wasn't a whole lot

1:32.8

I could do. So I was just sitting on the couch and I needed something to occupy myself. And so I

1:38.8

download this game and now it is just taking over my life. I'm currently looking at it. And I love this.

1:46.4

I like how it has.

1:47.9

I do love puzzle games.
