Who's Paying Attention?

I'm in Montreal.

I'm at Just For Last, the Big Comedy festival, as many of you know. One of my

favorite things in comedy is to be here. And I'm here hosting the ethnic show, which is, I think

it's great. It's fantastic. And I've been joking as I do publicity for the show that I don't even know if we could do this show in the United States.

We have become so tight-ass scared and politically correct.

Just the title of the ethnic show would probably throw some people into a tizzy.

They'd have a tizzy and we can't have tizzies going on in the

United States of America. So they sent us up to Montreal to do this show. And we started

last night, it is myself, Rashid Boudoir, who is Moroccan, Jeannie Yashire, Nigerian from England, Dan Natterman, Jewish

guy from New York, Ahmed, Ahmed, Egyptian guy, Franks Badone, Italian, Canadian guy.

Yeah, it's a great mix doing this show.

Oh, and Ronnie Chang, who's Chinese from Australia.

So when you talk about

ethnic, we got it all. And I'm loving it. But that leads me to my first topic for the

podcast, something I hadn't expected or hadn't planned to talk about. I just got off the phone

with a show called Air Talk. It's on KPCC, which is

public radio in Los Angeles. And the topic was Amy Schumer. Is she a racist? Was her, were her jokes

racist? Whatever. Now, I'll say the same thing I said on the radio. I know Amy. I don't know Amy well. I wouldn't define us as friends, but I've met her. We'd cross paths, work together, whatever, and I don't think Amy's racist. Okay. There were a couple of years ago, she did some jokes. She plays this, it's a character she does. If you've seen Amy, you know she does this.

She plays this kind of dumb, clueless white girl character.

And she made a couple of jokes about Mexicans.
