Stories and legends of shadow figures have circulated for decades. The Shadow Man is one of the

more frequently reported versions of the shadow figure. He commonly appears in bedrooms when

people are falling asleep or first waking up. Many people report

terrifying encounters with shadow figures. They seem to act like ghosts. They're almost always seen

standing up, just watching. Sometimes for seconds, sometimes minutes. Some witnesses say the entity has a supernatural speed. It'll dart

across the room within seconds. Others say it'll slowly fade away or we'll walk out of the room,

just like a person would. It's believed that shadow figures feed on fear. And unlike a typical ghost that has visible facial features, shadow figures feed on fear. And unlike a typical ghost that has visible facial features,

shadow figures have no identifying features. Many believe they're evil. One of the most chilling

cases of an entity like this comes from a true haunting in Florida. Two boys, Tom and Tim Yancey.

Today's episode, we're discussing the true haunting of the Yancey boys.

In the 1960s, 12-year-old Tom Yancecy and his seven-year-old brother Tim were haunted and

terrorized by an entity that emerged from the woods from behind their home. This took place in

South Florida and is one of the most intense hauntings I've come across. The two boys began referring

to this entity as the Shadow Man, and he turned

their childhoods upside down. Let's get right into the story. In the summer of 1968, the Yancey

family was living in Lake Worth, Florida. Lake Worth is located in South Florida, a very wooded area, and was settled in the late

1800s. The Yancey family consisted of father Sonny, mom Barbara, and their two sons, 12-year-old

Tom, and 7-year-old Tim. The family lived in a house that was described as pretty remote and
