I'm so glad to be here. I love you. I love you. And I'm so honored to be in the documentary as well. And I can't wait for people to see this.

1:05.8

Me too. I mean, you're so amazing in it. I'm so grateful that you agreed to be a part of it and you're such a vital part of it. And people love it.

1:16.8

It's getting an amazing response. People really really love it. Yeah, it just debuted at South by Southwest and people had a great. I was just so glad they were able to still have the festival. It was like online. We did a zoom thing for it. Yeah.

1:34.4

And then it'll be on the FX and then I think it goes to Hulu from there as well.

1:39.4

It goes to FX on Hulu the next day April 3rd so people can get it on demand whenever they want. Absolutely. It's so many great comedians are on this. How did this whole project come about?

1:53.4

It's so funny. I was doing standup at a club standup New York in New York City and there was an advertising agency there and there it was all women that happened to be at the show.

2:04.4

And then they met with me afterwards and they said we're interested in doing some kind of film about female standup comedians.

2:11.4

And to make a long story short, I had met with them a bunch of times. It never panned out.

2:16.4

But in the meantime, I met with a documentary film company in LA and we decided to do it anyway and we went to FX and they wanted it right away.

2:26.4

And we filmed it before COVID, thank God. And it ended up being incredible and it got into South by Southwest and it just got into Hot Doc's Film Festival, which is an international film festival.

2:39.4

Hot Docs. Yeah. I like that.

2:42.4

A documentary film festival, which is huge and in Toronto. And so yeah, it's just been an incredible journey. And it's all from just people being at my standup show.

2:52.4

That's so fun. I mean, yeah, you never know when you have so many comics, we have like these spots, you're like, uh, I don't want to go tonight.

3:02.4

It was a five o'clock. It was a five o'clock show, five PM and I did not want to go.

3:08.4

For this company and it's going to be boring and it ended up being this now, you know, that's so great.

3:15.4

And I mean, other people have tried to do something in this vein and it's a very interesting line because I feel like as a female comic, I'm constantly asked what it's like to be a female in comedy.

3:30.4

I personally don't know how to answer it always. And so yeah, because it's all I know. I'm like, I don't know what it's like to be a female in comedy because I don't know what it's not like.
