with my family, I'm buckling back down to work and hoping that our typical

cold bleak Nebraska and January speeds by, where I prone into believing in and succumbing to writer's block.

January would be the month in which I would be most likely to fall prey to its insidious spell.

I'm not a cold weather person, and the short dreary days of January often seem to affect my creativity.

Of course it probably hasn't helped that I often began writing new novels in January and

beginnings are the most difficult part of a story for me.

This year, I don't have to face the blank screen of a new story,

since I'm just finishing up my outline notes for the deepest breath

and have at least three months of research still ahead of me.

So hopefully my creativity and my sanity. and have at least three months of research still ahead of me.
