Hello and welcome to this episode of Pod Save the King. I'm your host Russell Myers,

the Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror. And what a week it's been? We are following hot on the heels of the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten, Windsor,

11 hours in a police station, unmarked cars turning up to the King's Sandringham estate.

A situation many thought probably wouldn't happen.

The picture taken by Reuters photographer Phil Noble of Andrew's lying back in the backseat of a car,

is absolutely astonishing, one for the ages, one that the royal family will,

no doubt have wished, was never taken.

But we'll probably tell a lot about this situation, a lot about the privilege that Andrew has enjoyed, the entitlement

that he has always had. And what a sorry state of affairs. We've had statement upon statement

now from the king himself. The Prince and Princess of Wales have shared their deep concern

that we spoke about last week. And yet we have 10 investigations running side by side from police forces in the UK and other agencies.

Andrew's properties are being searched as we speak.

We see dramatic developments by the hour it would seem.

And yet where does this scandal go?

Andrew is still under investigation.

He will no doubt be spoken to again by the police investigating these matters.

And of course, there are still calls both in the United Kingdom and the United States

...
