Ome, Vasudeva, suttam, Devam, Kamsachanuram Ardanam,

Devaki, Paramanandam, Krishna, Vande, Jagad Gurum.

We are studying the Bhagavad Gita, and we are in the second chapter.

Of the 18 chapters, the second chapter is the most important.

It basically contains the essence of the teaching.

And in the second chapter, the teaching about the Atman, ourself, who we really are,

that is the central teaching.

So that's what Sri Krishna has been telling Arjuna till now.

We have covered that part.

We have studied about that.

While wrapping up that teaching, the doctrine of the Atman,

Sri Krishna mentions two important concepts in Indian thought.

Not just Vedanta or Hindu thought, but also Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, the Indian, an important

concept of the Indic worldview. What are these two concepts? The first one is given in

verse 27 and the second one in 28. We have done up to 27 last time.

In 27, Sri Krishna said,

for those who die, for those who are born,

death is certain.

Death is certain for those who are born.

This is common sense.
