0:07.9	I'm your host, Ashrida Chutu, and I'll be leading you in prayer using a simple guided prayer format to help you slow down and hear God's voice.
0:19.1	As we begin, find a quiet place where you won't be interrupted,
0:22.6	and take a deep breath as we become aware of God's loving presence,
0:27.6	around us and within us.
0:33.6	Today's reading comes from Matthew 6, verse 9.
0:40.7	This then is how you should pray.
0:45.4	Our Father in heaven, hallowed be our name.
0:54.4	Let's begin by reciting God's goodness, praising Him for who he is as revealed in today's passage.
1:04.4	Oh precious father, our heavenly father, what a gift you've given us to be called children of God.
1:08.1	Thank you that we don't have to fear you.
1:14.4	We don't have to stay far away from you, wondering if you're going to pour out your wrath on us for our misdeeds. Thank you that because of Jesus, we have free entry into
1:22.2	your throne room. We get to call you, Daddy, Abba, Father.
1:28.9	Your name is a strong tower.
1:32.1	And so we get to run to you, our Heavenly Father.
1:36.4	God, thank you for welcoming us as your children.
1:41.7	So in the next few moments, praise God for how he has shown his fatherly love
1:48.6	and goodness in your life recently. Let's continue by expressing our neediness.
2:14.6	Word God,
2:19.8	Father, Daddy.
2:22.3	Even just saying those words makes me so aware that many of us have not
2:25.5	had great father figures in our lives.
