It was March 30th, 1985.

The first time that I had ministered in a Messianic Jewish congregation, even though I'm a Jewish

believer in Jesus, even though I've been involved in Jewish outreach for many, many years.

This was the first time in a messianic Jewish

congregation with other Jewish believers identifying as Jews, and a lot of it was new and different to me.

And then the music started. There was a man named Paul Wilbur with a worship team called Israel's

Hope. And the moment, I'm talking about the instant they began to minister,

I felt the presence of God in the room, looked at my wife, Nancy, also a Jewish believer,

both of us with tears in our eyes, realizing God was here in the midst of this congregation.

I've been dear friends with Paul Wilber now for many years. He is one of the most

anointed worship leader, songwriters that I know in the world. And he's ministered around

the world, great heart for Israel, great heart for the church, ministered to stadium-sized

crowds in Latin America, just an amazing legacy and a

great guy, dear friend. And when I wrote the power of music book, I said, I've got to get it to

Paul Wilbur getting in his hands and get some feedback from him and was really, really blessed

by what he had to say. And I said, Paul, you've got to join me on the air.
