Hello and welcome to the Diz Unplugged Round Table discussion for the week of November 28,

2012. From Orlando, Florida, I'm your host Pete Werner joined at the table this week

by my good friend Sean Thompson, Teresa Eccles, Corey Martin, Dustin West and our special

correspondent and good friend Susan Carver, who is going to talk to us about the new Scooter

Rental policies at Walt Disney World. There's been a bit of controversy and confusion over

the changes that Disney has made to Scooter Rental's from outside vendors. This has been

a popular thing because they're far less expensive usually than renting them yourselves

inside the park. These get delivered to your hotel, but there were issues on Disney's end,

so they made some changes and those changes have been met with quite a bit of confusion

and upward. Yes, and it's still confusing. In fact, I called two resorts today to find out what their

policies were and one of them, O.K. West said there is no change in policy. Then I called

Coronado Springs and they said yes there is and they gave me the list of approved Scooter

companies. Now I'll give you that list. It's Apple Scooter, Buena Vista Scooter Rental's,

Best Price Mobility, Care Medical Equipment and Scooter Bug. Now you can use any Scooter

company you want. The issue comes in when you have your Scooter delivered. If it is not

one of those companies, you have to be there to receive the Scooter. So you can't be out

in the park having a good time and these other companies come to deliver your Scooter. If they

leave the Scooter there, then Disney will confiscate the Scooter and then charge the Scooter

company. Rumor has it because Disney won't tell me what this is, $75 to get it back.

Now the guest, the Scooter company. Disney becomes a towing company. Yes, they do.

Wow, your registration. A towing company. Big Tony's holding on to you.
