Good morning and welcome the kid news. I'm Tori. Today is Tuesday, November 24th,

2020 and we begin with Thanksgiving just two days away. And while the holiday

generally spells bad news for turkeys a couple of

lucky birds are in for a presidential reprieve. Corn and Cobb arrived by

train from a farm in Walcott, Iowa Sunday

and spent the last two nights getting the VIT,

very important turkey treatment

at a Washington, D.C. hotel.

Today, they'll travel to the White House

where President Trump will officially pardon one of them,

but no matter which one is chosen as the national bird, both will retire at the campus of Iowa State University to live out their days.

If you'd like to choose between corn or cob to represent all turkeys everywhere,

you can do so until 11 a.m. Eastern time this morning.

the transfer of power is reportedly about to begin.

CNN was the first to report the Trump administration informed President-elect Biden last night

that its officials will coordinate with his to start the

transition process and that millions of dollars in government funding will be made

available to help that happen. It'll take place over the next two months with President Trump's

team bringing President-elect Biden's up to speed on all important matters.

Inauguration day for the new administration is January 20, 2021.
