Thanks, friends, for joining us this Monday,

the beginning of Thanksgiving week here in America. The number to call 866-348-7-884. That's 866-348-8-4. We're going to talk through a very difficult issue today when we're looking at incredible loss of life, terrible human suffering. We don't treat these issues lightly. These are

not abstract theological questions that we're going to talk about

on the line of fire today. These are deep, weighty, life and death issues, families and agony right

now, terrible loss being suffered by so many. Statistics staggering in terms of fires, closing in on 80 bodies found.

So the remains of 80 human beings are 77 at this point, burned alive, burned in the fire.

And then over 1,200 missing.

Are there going to be hundreds and hundreds of casualties in this?

The worst forest fires in terms of deaths in American history.

And it's only fair to ask, well, what does God have to do with this or not have to do with it?

And certainly many people in the midst of great loss were crying, God, where were you?

And then we hear of testimonies, miraculous testimonies of people spared, people delivered.

So what do we make of this?
