Now, today's politics are completely insane.

0:03.0

The polarization is just beyond anything I've ever seen.

0:07.9

Certainly, it's as bad as what the politics were during the civil war between North and South.

So, moving to the 2024 election, of course, former President Trump has his staunch supporters that will literally take a bullet for him and will follow him to the death.

0:27.7

On the other side, there are plenty of people that will do anything to keep him from running or being elected president.

0:35.7

One of those, and this is what happened in Michigan, the Secretary of State in Michigan,

0:41.7

filed a lawsuit to use the 14th Amendment's, quote, insurrectionist ban, I'll tell you about

1:59.1

2:03.1

by the way. I don't know if Michigan Secretary of State could say no and no to being on the

2:12.6

ballot if Trump is in fact convicted of engaging in insurrection,

2:18.3

if there is a court battle, but at this point,

2:21.3

well, there is a court battle, but there's no conviction.

2:24.3

There's been no determination that he, in fact, did what he did.
