And we begin with the naming battle between two of California's busiest airports coming to a head.

A judge has ordered Oakland International Airport to temporarily stop using San Francisco Bay in its new name,

the latest twist in a dispute with San Francisco International.

The two cities have been at odds since April, when the port of Oakland announced it was

changing its name to San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport in an effort to boost airport

as many out-of-town travelers are unaware of Oakland's close proximity to the rest of the

Bay Area. Days later, San Francisco's city attorney sued, arguing the name infringes on the San Francisco

International trademark and causes confusion. According to CBS News, SFO's airport director said they

are grateful for the decision, but Port of Oakland officials say they are reviewing the ruling and considering all options.

What could have been awkward turned into a master class in civility. Yesterday, President Biden welcomed his successor, President-elect Donald Trump, to the White House for their first face-to-face meeting since the election.

At least for the cameras, the two shook hands like old friends rather than bitter rivals,

with each pledging to make the transition of power a peaceful one.

Mr. Biden told Mr. Trump his team would do everything it can to make sure he's accommodated.

also put the divisiveness of the race behind, saying politics is tough and in many cases it's

not a very nice world, but it's a nice world today. It's not even winter, but people in the

western U.S. are already digging themselves out of several

feet of snow.

Over the weekend, the first major storm of the season left behind mounds of powder in parts

of Colorado and New Mexico, with more falling in the Pacific Northwest the past few days.

According to USA Today, several ski areas picked up as much as three to four feet, and Denver recorded its third biggest November snowstorm on record.
