The document shows derision for Europe, including the UK, for failing to share Trump's divisive

nationalist ideology. As the government unveils its plan to tackle homelessness, one MP

But first, MPs have made clear their dismay and indignation

at the United States' new security strategy.

The document published this week is scathing about Europe,

saying the continent is facing civilisational erasure. It criticises migration policies

and highlights what it says is a loss of national identities and self-confidence. The strategy

adopts softer language towards Russia as a threat, and this has been welcomed by the Kremlin,

who called it largely consistent with its own vision.

The Labour Chair of Parliament's National Security Committee, Matt Western, thought the situation

was now clear.
