Today is Thursday, November 11th, 2021, Veterans Day in several countries, and we begin with

a case of drones versus birds in the skies above Australia, and in some cases, the birds

are winning.

There are reports of takeaway orders winging their way across the skies in Canberra being

intercepted by territorial ravens, stopping drone deliveries of coffee, food, even medicine.

The drones deliver small goods as part of wing, a program run in partnership with Google.

One resident, Ben Roberts, got a video of a drone that was carrying his daily coffee

under attack with a raven furiously pecking away at the aircraft with its beak.

The drone struggled to fly under the weight of the large bird, but Mr. Roberts' coffee

was safely delivered.

A spokesman for wing says there are no reports of birds being injured by drones, but it's

common for a certain species to be very protective during nesting season and swoop down on

any moving object.

One of the very first computers ever made by Apple just sold for a pretty penny at auction.

Unlike the sleek, compact versions of today, this bulky but groundbreaking personal computer

included an Apple 1 NTI motherboard, a cassette adapter in a wood case, plus a keyboard,

a video monitor, a connecting cable, and a power supply.

It even had the original instruction manual and two software cassette tapes.

Only 200 of the Apple 1 computers were made, designed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak

and assembled and tested by the other co-founder, Steve Jobs.
