You can go give us five stars and Danny G will read those and at some point we will give you some five star reviews and if you're five star review is read on the air guess what you get a five star t shirt from outkick it truly is unbelievable by the way we're selling a lot of outkick sweaters now.

0:56.2

We have outkick Christmas sweaters that are evidently selling like crazy I don't have one of these outkick sweaters yet in fact a lot of times I don't even know all the gear that we have up on outkick on a day to day basis now but I know a lot of it is selling so appreciate all of you if you're looking for a gift to give someone.

1:15.4

I feel like this is going to be the all time online sales record breaking universe because so many people are not going to want to get out and get into malls or stores are not open like they ordinarily are so if you're looking for a gift for somebody just go to outkick.com we've got an absolute ton of stuff out there if you're.

1:34.4

Friend or family member is a fan of this show then trust me there's a lot of gear out there outkick dot com including Christmas sweaters which will make you the envy of your entire neighborhood alright so couple of big news stories that are out there that could be significant.

1:51.4

The NFL has modified its rules such that they can expand the playoffs if they have to cancel any games at all and I would submit to you that if you were setting odds right now on whether the NFL is going to play a 16 game full season for every team I would submit to you that that would be the underdog right now in other words I believe that the NFL is going to have to end up.

2:21.4

Canceling games before all is said and done and if that happens then the eight seed would be added into the NFC and into the AFC and if you're wondering right now OK who would benefit the most right now from an eighth playoff spot well the team in the AFC that would benefit the most is the Cleveland Browns they would be in right now if the season were ending at a halfway point the Cleveland Browns would get in.

2:51.4

And as the overall pick here and simultaneously if this were happening in the NFC the team that would benefit the most is the Chicago Bears but this has the potential to create a really pretty interesting playoff race down the stretch run because it expands the overall universe of teams that could believe they have a chance to make the playoff so right now just to give you an indication at the halfway point of the game.

3:21.4

And the season the Steelers would be the one seed in the AFC the Kansas City Chiefs would be the two seed your three seed would be the Buffalo bills followed by your four seed Tennessee Titans and remember the Titans play against the Colts this weekend big game in terms of determining who might win the AFC South Titans win there in very good shape with seven games to go if the Colts win there in very good shape honestly with seven games to go it's a big swing game right now the Titans around to two and a half point.

3:51.4

And the other one is the one seed that's the favorite by the way the Raiders Danny G and Roberto's team are right now the six seed in the playoffs the Miami Dolphins which is going to surprise some people who haven't been paying a lot of attention the Miami Dolphins would be in as the seventh playoff team right now they would have the tie break over the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts but if the playoffs are expanded to eight teams then if you're a fan of the Browns or you're a fan of the Colts you can

4:21.4

play in the playoffs. Your teams are both really legitimately in the mix for the playoffs in a way that maybe they aren't as much right now not to say you're not in the mix you're losing the tie break but you would feel a lot better about making the playoffs if there were eight teams that were able to make it. Okay, what about the NFC playoff picture huge win for the Saints they have catapulted themselves now all the way up to the overall number one seed then we have the Seahawks and the green Bay Packers both at

4:51.4

six and two the Seahawks would be the two the Packers would be the three we have because of the flaw what I would call a glitch in the universe we have the Eagles who would be set to host a home playoff game because they would be the team that wins the NFC East. Then we got the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who would have to go on the road against the Eagles the Arizona Cardinals and the Rams would be in if we expand the playoff picture the Bears at five and four would be in and the San Francisco

5:21.4

49ers at four and five would still be in the mix a little bit not that far out from the Chicago Bears so an eighth playoff team is a big story in the NFL it does away with the by week it requires everybody to play wild card weekend it requires everyone to win three straight games it would be a major shift in the way that the NFL typically sets up the playoffs because usually for most of the

5:51.2

last whatever it is 25 or 30 years the first two teams have gotten buys and so the way that we cover the NFL playoff race is by recognizing that the two teams that are the best in their respective conferences get an opportunity to rest to get better and then they only have to win two games to go to the Super Bowl now everybody would have to win three and so this would really I think change things in a fundamental way particularly

6:20.2

if you combine it with the lack of home field advantage that's going to exist this year there's no substantial home field advantage when it comes to having 10,000 people in the stands instead of 70,000 it's just not that loud it's not that difficult to run your offense the officials are being impacted there's virtually zero home field advantage now there's a home field advantage if you're the green Bay Packers and it's freezing cold and you're used to it and your opponent is not there's a home field advantage if you get to play in a dome

6:49.2

and you are the New Orleans Saints and everybody else isn't familiar with that there's maybe even a home field advantage if you are down in South Florida not that it's likely but if the Miami dolphins were able to win their their playoff division and they were able to win the AFC East and they somehow caught up with the with the Buffalo bills I'm sorry Buffalo Bill fans for terrifying you there but there could be potentially a big advantage in playing down in South Florida where it might be allowed to be in the

7:19.2

more hot and humid than most of the rest of the country is used to and if you doubt that look at how typically the New England Patriots have not played very well in Miami because it's so much different than the environment that they're used to playing in in Foxboro so that could become the major home field advantage scenario but I think we went around the horn here earlier on the show and virtually everybody is it unanimous that we think there will be at least one game canceling the game in the game so we can't do that.

7:49.2

So I think the NFL is going to have a perfect remainder of the season and no games are going to be canceled.

7:59.2

Going once going twice are unanimous here all right so that's a big story that is out there the other big story that is out there I would say also deals with potentially the fall out of COVID and that is the SEC which so far has not had to cancel a single game in its season may now be forced to end up canceling the game.

8:17.2

They now be forced to end up canceling games because they've had to postpone Alabama LSU they've had to postpone Texas A&M at Tennessee and they've had to postpone the Mississippi State Auburn game all of those games cannot be rescheduled with the SEC's additional week on the season because LSU through no fault of their own already had to miss their game against Florida which was scheduled for the game.
