Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Tori. Today is Monday, November 1, 2021, and

the Astros live to see another game. They were on the brink of elimination, but took down

the Braves in Game 5 last night. The World Series now moved back to Houston for Game 6 on

Tuesday.

Now on to today's news, and we begin with two middle school students in Georgia saving

the day by saving their bus driver. Connor Doss and Cain Dorety were headed to their

suburban Atlanta school with a bus full of classmates when Miss Julie suddenly pulled

to the side of the road, read in the face, and shaking. The kids knew she had diabetes,

which is a blood sugar disorder, so they gave her a soda and cookies while using the dispatch

radio to call for help. The person on the end of the line dialed 911 and told Connor and

Cain how to set the emergency break and turn on the bus's flashing lights. Miss Julie

is reportedly recovering, but hasn't yet returned to work. Connor and Cain, they insist

they aren't heroes that anyone would have done what they did, but their school district

thinks otherwise and has honored them for their bravery.

Representatives from nearly 200 countries are now in Glasgow, Scotland to take part in

what's being described as the world's moment of truth. It's the annual climate change

meeting known as COP26. COP stands for Conference of the Parties, and this is its 26 gathering,

given some of the weird weather we've had lately, there's reportedly some new urgency

for cutting gas, oil, and coal emissions to help limit global warming. Swedish teen activists

Greta Tumberry wasn't invited, but she's there and was mob by well-wishers when she arrived

by train yesterday. Of politicians in the planet, she recently said,
