All right everybody we have Rubin Alex in here in 10 minutes to explain the differences between a red dot and a prismatic scope more specifically a 1X prism scope

we have our Spark AR in front of us and our Spitfire AR in front of us here.

Now if you've proved to the forums and you're wondering what the difference is between these

two 1X small size AR-15 kind of compatible optics here, you've probably noticed people say things like, well, you know,

the red dot is a parabolic lens with an LED behind it that shines and reflects

back to your eye to give your point of aim whereas a prism scope actually uses an optical system with a glass-edged

radical inside of there.

So essentially their methods of producing your point of aim are different, but that's not

exactly hard to see. What we want to get down to is just straight up,

okay, I understand that there are differences in how they work, but in the end, why would I want one over the other or do I want one over the other?

So Rubin has done a lot of competition experience,

a lot of shooting experience,

training, and we're gonna have him explain kind of,

in your personal experience,

where do you see people primarily using one over the other and why?

Yeah, so typically where I would look at it as I would look at it as not only just a sport or a different type of shooting,

I would look at it as an application.

So if we typically look at someone who's like kind of a duty-driven type

of person and they're looking at using this professionally a lot of times guys will use a

red dot site typically because there's a few things that really play into that.

You can use backup irons with them, you know, that dot brightness can be adjusted quickly.

You have long battery life on these types of optics.
