What's up everybody? We have 10-ish minutes here with Mr. Rubin

Alexin across the table and to talk about site height, height over boar, things

like that. We get a lot of questions here at vortex every single day in multiple times a day

from folks asking what height rings should I get and I think that there's a number of things that can go into your decision.

There's a number of different angles you can take as far as sight height goes.

Just to name a few, one of the ones that I know hits a lot of people's minds right away is will

the objective bell clear on the front end of the gun there's also shooter comfort as

in how high your scope is you know how much of it what your cheek weld is gonna end up

being you know sight height is

something you have to plug into your ballistics solution or your ballistics

calculator. It's one of those things that needs to be considered. And then there are

some things out there, you know, I know some people are just like,

I gotta get it as low as possible.

And then there's other people out there with ARs and go fast stuff that are kicking doors

that say, I gotta get it up really high, up above like two inches above the barrel

for all these, or two inches above the barrel for all these or two

inches above the rail for that matter. So Rube what what do you see when you see

sight height what's what's really important about it what are some interesting

topics around or interesting points around it?

When I was working behind a gun counter, you would oftentimes get the, you know, the question of what

height rings do we use? And if we were mounting a scope for a customer, a lot of the times we would, you know,

mount it up with a couple of different heights and see what's comfortable.
