All right, what is up, everybody? Mark on the mic here, once again, at the Western Hunting Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I'm joined by Dylan Dowson from Onex Hunt.

And first off, Dylan, I want to say, thank you for saving my life, because I guarantee that the Onex hunt app has gotten me

well out of the woods when I otherwise wouldn't have on my own so well I cannot personally

take credit for that but thank you and me too me as well multiple different times so no it's it's pretty crazy it's uh it is one of

those things that you just kind of have to have anymore which is which is interesting i mean i've

been there for 10 years now a little over 10 years and just to see the evolution of the technology

and the product 10 years ago to where it is today is pretty wild.

I mean, it is crazy.

It's, you know, I remember and actually being amazed by it then,

putting the chips into my GPS.

And now, of course, you know, it's just like all in the palm of my hand on my phone

with a, you know, backlit LCD display or whatever the heck they got in my phone.

And just the functionality, it's hard for me to actually, even though I know we're talking

about the past, to remember what it was like hunting before we had these tools.

And, you know, I can take it out, look at the maps, and be like, oh, I want to pick this route because of X, Y, Z,

where otherwise you'd been like, well, let's give it a shot. Yeah. You know, maybe we'll get clipped out. Maybe we'll have to backtrack. Maybe we'll have to loop around. Like, you get so much pre-knowledge on the, you know, I was opened up with talking about, oh, it's getting me in and out of the woods, but it's doing it way more efficiently and way safer, too. Yeah, especially when you're traveling to new states and new places you've never been. You can kind of hit the ground running instead of taking the first two, three, four days sometimes, just figuring out which roads you can go, where you can access. And yeah, I mean, that's a blast from the past because I started out in customer service, like I said, a little over 10 years ago.

And at the time, my day-to-day consisted of talking to people on the phone and downloading the update to their chip to their computer, explaining how to use the microSD adapter into the regular.

No, no, that's a small one. I want you to grab the bigger one next to it. Okay, can you see? Can you put it in there? Plug that into your computer. Download that to there. So that was my pretty much day-to-day when I started working at On X is updating those microSD chips. We did have the app out at that time. It was just very early stages.

And I mean, it worked great. But I would say at that time, 80% of our customers were chip

customers, right? And the number one question I would get besides how to update this thing

was, hey, I just purchased your chip. I'm standing in. You name the store,

right? Cabela is wherever. Just bought your chip. What GPS device should I buy to use that chip?
