little backstory on this. We all know just right off the bat it's a Weatherby cartridge because it's got that rounded shoulder.

A cartridge almost as great as Mark's beard, the 300 Weatherby Magnum. The year was

1944 young man by the name of Roy Weatherby. Much like P. O' Ackley found a way to

improve cases. Roy Weatherby did too. Adding what we call a venturi shoulder,

which is that radius shoulder for all the same reasons that we see venturies and

carburetors, right? The thought process was... Oh, yeah. I always thought it was just kind of like

set it apart and look cool no there's some some solid theory in it and it was that

that radius shoulder that venturi effect creates that little vortex on the inside of the

case and does a better job of burning powder. It is really a spectacular round.

It was my first real Magnum cartridge. I had one built for me by the great folks at

Wetherby Custom Shop long long ago and it is a really high recoiling cartridge

so I named the gun evil Roy. Damn you Roy.
