What is up everybody we've got a little six five BC update now I like to say or they like to say or some people like to say you can't know where you're going without knowing where you've been or something like that so we're going to go back in time back to when we used to be wild catters right because the six five BC is a wild cat cartridge so if you want to go back in time and kind of get the history the story history of the six five BC

go back to at least on YouTube here right after post episode 160 we got a series of podcasts all all about this cartridge that we wild cat it and by we I mean Ryan sure I'm glad to clear oh yeah no we're gonna yeah we're all about we're all about the truth here so yeah it's it's it's a cartridge that we as in Ryan Wildcat it here did a fair amount of experimentation Jim we went on a hunt with it oh yeah we shot some animals with it

it was here today with us oh yeah exactly there's one or there's one or seven or so we've got horn skulls around us we went on an antelope hunts so you can watch actually that kind of YouTube video on the main vortex vortex page I believe that's where those are but uh it was really cool we saw some progress with it and then we kind of ran into a little bit of a roadblock there a small roadblock yeah a lot of people have been wondering what happened to the six five BC we haven't updated in a while but we've kind of been victims of the same thing

but everybody's been victims of lately which is component shortages yes and by shortages we mean nothing yeah so where where we at right we've got a lot of stuff on the table here if you're

watching on YouTube you can see it if you're not maybe come check it out but we got some things that we've been waiting for for a while

yep and more to come to so powder availability seems to be getting better which is really good because we one

thing from the start with this project is we never had the right powder to begin with I guess in my opinion or these powders that I wanted to try

a couple people mentioned that even when we did it yeah so use what we have and actually stop pretty promising results

we're a tick over 3,000 feet per second and we're not even close to loaded to capacity or at least what we believe the

potential capacity of the cartridge is while still remaining safe I wanted a slower burning true magnum powder something like

H1,078 short cut you know reloader 26 to reloader 33 somewhere in that ballpark just some some heavier hit and stuff now we have picked up

a few things along the way I am ours 81 33 which is similar to some of those aforementioned powders and then of course the

the ram shot magnum which is it says magnum in the name so it's got to be good yeah start with that one yep so well we'll jump into that a few

other things too we made some dimensional changes to the reamers and to the dies because we ran into some issues with the sizing dies again this is one of one so you know we

we started with it and enjoyed some success with it but not if there's any issues we have to be our own customer service

representatives and we have to be the product development team and all that you know to go back and fix it yeah so we did some

dimensional changes to the die into the reamer so we got new reamers got new dies and then ordered up some new brass

to those prints now the one thing kind of stopping us from moving forward with this is the brass hardness this stuff as we

mentioned in the earlier podcast this is machine turn brass this is not conventional drawn brass so it is hard in fact so hard

that you really can't resize it but interestingly enough I fired a case I reloaded a case I fired a case without resizing it and

dimensionally no change so in some ways it's like not an issue well it kind of it could be an issue but it

also proved to almost not be an issue yeah the problem is is every subsequent firing and reworking the brass
