Happy holidays, everybody, and like we say around here at Vortex, nothing celebrates

the holidays, like talking about some of our fine cartridges, one of which we have before

us right now, the 44 mag.

Now gentlemen, back when I was a youth, my mental perception of the 44 mag was like it

might as well be a bazooka, like if you if you would have said, what is more powerful

of a 450 nitro express or the 44 mag, I'd been like, Oh, no, 44 mag, easy.

Now I think that what I guess at least in my mind, like I said, I was a young kid popular

lot, popularized by some popular movies at the time, dirty, herald, the most powerful

handgun in the world.

Yep.

And popular request by listeners or what do we just, was this one more like, Hey, this

is a great one.

Let's go back.

I think this one, I think it was a request, but yeah, I mean, yeah, dirty, hairy and like

my neighbor had a 44 mag lever gun and I was like, Oh my gosh, like, you know, he

should stuff that's light years away with that thing, which really, not the case, but

it's still a darn fine and good cartridge, good censorship.

I don't know anything about this, but good thing we have Ryan to enlighten us.

It traces its roots from a very, very, very, very old cartridge, a special cartridge.
