We've got a lot to get to today. It's Friday. Thank goodness. It's Friday.

These are long weeks going through all this. It's like one big soap opera going on and on.

So expect the Treasury Secretary to be announced today. It was supposed to be announced yesterday,

which means I guess he's decided. But the Matt Gates stuff put that all on hold.

Matt Gates, the nominee for Attorney General, had to withdraw his nomination.

That's not unusual.

This has happened before.

Remember, Bill Clinton had two Attorney General nominations.

Both have to withdraw.

First, it was Kimba Wood uh too much flack uh she had

an illegal uh working as a nanny she was paying her off the books that's actually a crime so she

had to withdraw then it was zoe baird i can't remember she had another little scandal something

she had to withdraw our nomination so bill clinton still holds

the record two ag nominations had to withdraw then they found a third choice which was janet

reno a nice woman very nice woman totally uh you know in over her head on that she'd been the

little local uh broward County prosecutor. Attorney General

was a bit much for her. So it's not unusual to have a nominee withdraw. Gates did that yesterday.

Big, big problem for the Democrats. You're going to miss Matt Gates. You're going to wish it had

been Matt Gates because the new choice is Pam Bondi, who is extremely qualified, zero chance of not getting confirmed, has more qualifications than 98% of everybody that's ever been chosen as Attorney General, Lifetime prosecutor, Florida Attorney General for years, highly qualified,

worked all kinds of major cases.

So that's a no-brainer, easy confirmation.

No way to stop that.
