Welcome to the perfume room. My scent of the day today is Kelly and Jones' newest fragrance, Mezcal flora.

This scent is inspired by the founder and past perfume room guest Kelly Jones'

olfactive experience walking through Mexico City's flower markets whilst sipping

mescal. My big takeaway there is that my new life motto should be what would Kelly do?

but it is indeed what I am wearing today, so let me tell you about

it.

Messcal flora feels incredibly nostalgic.

When I sprayed it, it felt like a visit from an old friend.

Now it's not a copy or a dupe or a replacement of any particular perfume I know, and

yet it feels like it has little pieces, little nods to like 10 different perfumes I used to wear or smell in the early 2000s.

And interestingly enough, it smells like both ones that skewed commercially feminine and masculine.
