Okay, so it is November 9th, 2016. And I already have an episode ready to roll that I recorded yesterday. I was feeling extremely jazzed mid-afternoon and recorded a doozy of an episode. If I do say so myself I'm pretty excited to share it with you

But I'm not going to share it with you today. I don't think

Something different is on my heart today and you know I went to bed

feeling I went to bed feeling strong emotions. I'm an emotional dude and I went to bed feeling just completely overwhelmed.

And I woke up and I woke up and I just knew that I had a lot of things to say to you creative people

and they might be things that you need to hear today.

And so my temptation is to flood this episode with my opinions and I'm going to resist that there I've been pretty clear about how I'm

feeling but I'm not going to use this platform to try to in plain speak articulate my opinions and I'm not going to get on this show and vent today. Vint. Today I woke up feeling something that I honestly don't feel very often and that is courage.

As I'm stood with very real significant changes in the world, stood watching very real, large historical events unraveling in our world.

I think that I'm part of a generation that grew up in a relatively, at least from my safe spot in my childhood a peaceful upbringing and when I see this level of conflict, I honestly want to run and hide.

I honestly want to escape and run away somewhere else.

But this morning something different was in me and I want to share it with you. This morning I woke up with a sense of duty and love and hope and a sense that I need to stay and I need to do what I do more than ever.

And so I know that the creative folks have been hit pretty hard today.

They're feeling down a lot of my friends I can see are really struggling.

A lot of you creative people out there and today I want to bring you a serious encouragement and the first

thing I want to say is don't run don't run And I don't mean that like empty. I have some encouragement and

a reason for you to stay and give the best that you've got.

And I want to encourage you and I want to encourage myself to go to a higher ground, to go to a higher place, and to work and use that

passion and that energy and that drive to make the best work that you've ever made

for the best reasons and the most highest callings because I deeply and desperately believe that we need to be telling better stories.

And I don't just mean more true stories.

I don't mean just social justice stories.
