She's going to be speaking to us about the war in a region called Tigray. Basically Ethiopia

has launched an assault on a region. They're what you might call a

separatist region they want to rule themselves and be left alone and

Ethiopia has basically said no we don't want that to happen there's been massacres

it's been very brutal already you might not have heard of it though because it's a very

hard place to work so we're relying

There's been this conflict in Tigray a lot of people are not seeing what's going on

it's been quite underreported obviously it's hard to to film there it's hard to

report from there but there have been some horrific

war crimes carried out by the looks of it. Maybe you can just go back to the

start and explain to us where is this place and why is there a war

raging for it now?

Tigray is a region within Ethiopia.

It's located on the northernmost part of the country.

It inhabits over 7 million people.
