addictions in post-acute and long-term care.

In today's presentation, we're going to review the setting characteristics, post-acute care, long-term care, what are we really talking about,

discuss the prevalence of alcohol and drug addiction issues in those settings, and identified

triggers and challenges or vulnerabilities faced by people with drug

addictions in those in settings and strategies to assist them. The settings, post-acute care is where

people are discharged right after they get out of the hospital because they can't go home

yet. They're not able to manage their condition at home, but they don't need a hospital level of care.

And this can last in most cases for up to 100 days post-hospitalization, and then they're

either transferred to long-term care or transferred home. In post-acute care, the goal is for them to return home.
