So I know I've mentioned walking distance on backpacker radio a couple of handful of times

already, but I think our listeners would love to learn more about it from the source.

Yeah, so walking distance has this little tagline that kind of sums everything up.

A show for hikers, trackers, trampers, and wanders that proves any place we're seeing can

be reached by walking there.

So I mentioned all those types to be inclusive, the world of walkers.

This is the word that's used in New Zealand, trackers, I think of the Himalayas.

Hikers is the one we use here in the US, though it's kind of funny that John Muir hated

the term hiker.

So I threw wanderers in there to include people more like me who might be through hikers,

but at a sauntering pace.

Now I haven't verified this, but Vonder, the word in Norway, to wander, implies hiking

with more of a sense of wonder than a destination.

And I want this show to have a little something for everyone, from beginner backpackers to

through hikers with thousands of miles already under their hit belts.

And I definitely want to hear from your listeners on backpacker radio if there's someone you

really want to hear from, or a topic that needs a deeper dive, just holler.
