This episode is hosted by psychotherapist and bestselling author Amy Morin. Now let's get into the episode.

0:46.8

Okay. My guest today is Matthew McConaughey.

0:51.4

You probably know him from his first role in Dazed and Confused.

0:56.3

Since then, he's gone on to appear in dozens of movies. In fact, in 2013,

1:02.8

he won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Dallas Biers Club. Last year, he released a book called Green Lights. It's mostly a memoir, but he also shares many of the strategies

1:08.2

that have helped him get through tough times in life. In this episode,

1:11.9

1:50.4

I'll link to those in the show notes.

1:54.6

Make sure to stick around until the end of the episode for the therapist's take.

1:59.4

This is the part of the show where I'll give you my take on my guest strategies and talk about how you can apply them to your own life. So

2:01.8

here's Matthew McConaughey on how recognizing the green lights in your life can help you grow

2:07.3

mentally stronger. Well, I'm Amy Moore and it's nice to meet you. Hi, Amy. How are you?

2:12.2

I'm wonderful. We're going to talk about the brain? And this book.

2:19.0

Well, that's kind of about the brain.

2:23.2
