Matthew chapter 28 verses 18 through 20

and Jesus came and said to them,

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the

Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.

And behold, I am with you always to the end of the age. There is so

much we could say about this passage. So how do we sum it up in a couple

minutes and lead in a prayer based on it?

You think about these are the last words we have from Jesus in the book of

Matthew. He's gathered together with his disciples on this mountaintop and

he's saying to them, all right, I'm about to leave. I have all authority in heaven on earth like all of it has been given to me

Jesus is Lord over everything. So go he says and make disciples like what I have done in your life.

Go and do that in others' lives.

Introduce people to me, introduce people to the Father,

his love for them, help them to experience life in him, go make disciples,

baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son of the Holy Spirit, bring them into communion with me, teach them to obey everything

I've commanded you.

All the life that is found in my commands help them to experience that. And as you go and you do this all over the world among all the

nations, no, I'm going to be with you. So yes, I'm about to leave you personally, physically

here, but I'm going to send my spirit, my presence to you and I'm

going to be with you wherever you go to the nations I'm going to be with you as you go and you will see and experience my power and my presence
