doll. I remember getting dolls of all kinds as a young girl and loved the idea of them coming to

life. I would get my dolls homes, their very own cars, wardrobes, careers. At that age, I think if you told me my dolls came to life at night,

I would be thrilled. But as I've gotten older, that's changed. The idea of a doll coming to life,

thinking, and moving on its own, yikes, that gives me the hebi-jeebies. And I know I'm not alone. That brings us to

the case of Annabel, the horrifying haunted doll that is a character in horror films, but also

exists in real life. Right now, she's currently locked in a glass case in Connecticut.

Annabelle is a bit different than other haunted objects,

as Annabelle the doll is thought to be demonic and violent.

Many believing the doll is so evil,

it has the ability to hurt people, cause fatal accidents, and kill.

who lived in Hartford, Connecticut. In 1970, Donna was a nursing student preparing to graduate.

All was good in Donna's life until her birthday.

That year, Donna's mother gave her a Raggedy Ann doll.

The doll itself was an antique.

Her mom had found it at a secondhand store.

At the time, Donna shared an apartment with her roommate Angie,

and after this, she brought the Raggedy Ann doll back to their place and kept the doll on her

bed as decoration, thinking it was a cute gift from her mom and didn't give it much thought.
