Welcome everyone to another regularly scheduled rerun as you may already know.

Twice each month I release a classic episode that I think is still relevant and definitely worth your time

while we do some catch-up work here on the back end of the show. Today I thought it would be a good time to

think back to that time just after the election and to hear some of the advice and warnings

that people were giving about the media in the age of Trump. Here what they were saying back then

and sort of compare to how things have been going recently. Of course members on the other hand

get a regular supply of bonus content that helps get them through these rerun days. A few of our

recent bonus episodes just for example include conversations about the power paradox, the problem

of people in power losing their ability to empathize with those they are supposed to govern.

We tried to take a break from politics one week and look at science for some hope and positivity

in the eyes of some bright young kids who dream of going to Mars one day. Of course politics

seeped into it anyway and spoiled the day just a little bit but I think it was about as positive as

we're capable of being. Then we dealt into a bit of the world of women who think that feminism

means that men don't have any problems and especially that some of them are inhuman monsters.

Spoiler we disagree on both counts and the most recent bonus show was actually just a sort of a follow-up

on the power paradox episode with some insights from a listener voicemail and fan favorite

Reverend Roger Ray. And besides all of that our running list of topics to discuss just keeps growing

so there's always more stuff coming down the pike just as an example quick look at my list.
