zero shame through extreme vulnerability. It's actually a comedy podcast but it is a raw journey of self-exploration that includes interviews

with their ex-boyfriends, fuck buddies, one-night stands, their moms, and more.

The show has grown from 200 listeners a week

to over 10,000 in just four months.

That's a huge jump.

podcast platforms. Today's guest is Carmen Karma and she is celebrating quite an accomplishment, she wrote a book.

So many people talk about how they're going to write a book, even I might have said that a few times,

but to actually sit down and do it is an entirely different story. And speaking of stories,

Carmen definitely has one to tell. She's survived abuse, neglect, drug addiction, and suicide attempts, all laid out unapologetically

in her new memoir, Overcome.

And that title is truly one that resonates, as today Carmen is sober and enthusiastically tackling a successful career in porn all the while raising a family.

I can relate to Carmen on so many levels, the obvious one being our shared past problems with addiction,

but mostly this interview got me thinking about the gift of coming out on the other side of it,

of having gone through some of the darkest times in your life and
