I'm your host, Allie Feller, and although you can't see or hear her,

I am delighted to let you know that I am joined today by a very special guest,

Miss Annie Lee Cristiano.

Yes, I did it. I gave birth to a real human child, and so far I've lived to tell the tale.

Annie was born on Tuesday, October 16th at 8.09am, weighing 5 pounds, 10 ounces.

In her first month, she has already rocked my world in all the wildest, most wonderful ways,

and that's what I want to talk about today, if that's cool with you.

So I'm going to fly solo for this one. Let's do it.

All right, so where to begin.

Well, I already wrote a birth story all about what it was like giving birth to Annie.

So we don't need to rehash all of that today.

Today, I kind of just wanted to talk about how the first month with Annie has actually gone.

So during the 39 weeks, I was pregnant. I spent a lot of time thinking about being pregnant.

I thought about getting Annie's nursery setup. I thought about what Ellie would think of having

a baby in the house. And I thought about like the weekend adventures we would go on as a family

of four of the trips to the beach where Ellie would run around in the sand. Well, Annie and I snuggling

on a blanket, long hikes, eventual overnight getaways to cute Airbnb's with big backyards and

front porches. Just all the really lovely things I looked forward to. But I didn't really think much

about the day-to-day life with a baby and what that would actually look like, which I think is fine.
