On today's show, the GOP platform is out, and yes, it does have a section on tech. There's a lot to like, plenty to dislike, and plenty to scratch your head at.

Joining me to discuss this is

chief technology officer of the Republican National Committee, Baron Soka. Barron, thank you

for joining the show. Not a Republican, just for the record. I mean, is that like a technical

thing or a figurative thing or like a, like what's in your heart? And what do you mean?

All of the above. So you don't believe in Republican forms of government. Is that what you're saying? Lowercase R, yes.

So before we jump in, I thought it was interesting that last night that Ted Cruz did not

endorse Donald Trump. He congratulated him on winning the nomination, but then did not endorse

him. He said, vote your conscience.

And it got me thinking, you know, Baron, you've congratulated me on the podcast before,

but you've never actually endorsed me as a host. So are you thinking of running in 2020?

Like, what's going on? I will say that all listeners out there, if they care about their children,

if they care about the future of our country, vote your conscience when it comes time to pick a new host.

Okay.

And obviously we will open this up to an online vote where like 10 people vote and then

that's how we decide who hosts the podcast.

You know, Dan Beneventi, our chief operating officer, has a large contingent of Peruvians

who are going to vote for him.

That's true.

Just so you know.

He has the Peruvian vote locked up.
