Summary

In our first podcast I asked Joel to provide any interventional studies showing harm from red meat, or any unprocessed meat. He was unable to provide these studies at that time, or in the 2 weeks that followed before I released our podcast debate. After that time he wrote a blog post with his thoughts in response to many of the points I raised during the podcast, providing what he believed to be studies corroborating his points. This podcast is a solo-cast in which I respond to his blog post points to show some counter points and point out that I still do not believe his case for plant-based diets is able to be substantiated. I’ve reached out to Joel to see if he will come back on the podcast for a part two, but he has not yet responded. Will keep you posted! #theremembering

Welcome to the Fundamental Health Podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Paul Saladino. This podcast

0:11.0

is the result of my relentless search to understand and correct the roots of chronic

0:15.1

disease and illness. In this podcast, I will share with you everything I have learned

0:19.3

about how to live the most healthy and radical life possible. Thanks for joining me on this

What is up, you guys? Welcome to another edition of the Fundamental Health Podcast. So I was

0:31.8

doing a live the other day on Instagram talking about vitamin A in liver and the potential

0:39.8

or lack thereof for toxicity. And somebody in the comments wrote, of course, you're going

0:45.8

to support liver and say it's healthy for us. You sell supplements, man. And I thought,

0:50.8

wow, if anyone out there believes that I would lie to you guys or mislead people for the

0:59.3

sake of profit, then they are sorely mistaken and don't understand my principles, my values

1:06.4

or why I do what I do with my life. Choosing to take a path that I've chosen to buck the

1:13.6

norm, to step outside of the normal perspectives and medicine, it's not easy. And I do it

1:19.9

because I believe in it deeply. And seeing that comment also made me think, I'm really

1:26.2

proud of what we've built at Heart and Swil and therefore I lead off every single podcast

1:31.9

telling you guys about it. So know that with the business I've built at Heart and Swil

supplements, these grass fed grass finished desiccated organ supplements, these come from

1:44.2

my heart. These come from the place of my soul, believing fully that a desiccated organ

1:51.5

supplement will help millions, hundreds of millions of people by making it very easy to

1:58.0

get organs that are difficult for many of us to consume. I believe full heartedly in

2:03.7

the ancestral use, the anthropologic precedent for these organs and the actual biochemistry

2:09.9

and nutrition that underlies why people get so many benefits of these organs. So know
