0:26.7	I'm Troy McEady. In this week, we have another grab bag. The VMAs, they're being aired on August 28th.
0:34.8	This is not an ad for the VMAs by any means, but we've talked about them a lot and I just thought
0:39.7	the VMAs would be like the perfect award show to cover to kind of round up the summer, I guess.
0:47.2	Yeah, it feels very summer. It feels very like middle school summer vacation, you know,
0:55.9	just like youthful young, carefree, happy, pre-paying taxes vibes.
1:02.8	And I have to say, I feel like VMAs here, well, it's like a very safe space for millennials,
1:07.2	and I know a lot of millennials listen. So, Troy, I want to hear your VMAs thoughts. I know that
1:14.0	Dunzo, you've done so many deep dives and stuff, but just overall VMAs, what they meant to you,
1:20.0	and your top moments. What do they mean to me? The VMAs to me was the award, I guess, as a young
1:28.4	person, it was the award show that felt most for me. It felt like it was directly for me, my
1:35.3	interest, my hobbies, my vibe, more than any other award show. And I guess as a young person,
1:41.6	I just felt like the VMAs were pre-social media, you had to, I always say you have to grab the
1:49.1	ad line. And the VMAs to me was for a lot of people their time of the year to grab the headline,
1:56.8	to get press for an album release or a tour that's upcoming, or a new era. It was a way to
2:06.3	grab people's attention and hopefully hold it for a while. It was also a way for a lot of
2:12.4	celebrities to rebrand. So people that we saw grow up on MTV would use the VMAs as a way to
2:20.8	shift their image or look be more mature or do a new style direction or whatever. It was just
2:28.7	like a tool before you could just get on Twitter or Instagram. Yeah, I completely agree with you.
2:35.5	I feel like the VMAs for me growing up was bigger than the Grammys. There was nothing bigger
2:41.6	than every artist that was on there. I know like, for me, one moment that really sticks in my
2:47.4	head is Michael Jackson coming out to dance within sync. And that might have been like 2000, 2001,
